PL Shipping & Logistics Private Limited was established in the year 2001 and started operations in the month of April of the same year.

Conceived as a joint venture between the 145 year Old Peirce Leslie group and its current Managing Director R.Ramkumar, PLSLL has since moved on to become an independent entity, backed by a private equity group. Riding on the crest of a strengthening economy, PLSLL, which started of with a turnover of Rs.12 crore (Rs.120 million) during the first year of operation has since reached a turnover of Rs.105 Crores (Rs.1050 million) during the year ended March 2010.

The internal systems are in the process of being certified by DNV under ISO 9001:2008 standards .

The employee strength is around 340 who work out of 13 offices across India providing a pan Indian Coverage. Air and Ocean are serviced at all key offices, as also Import and Export Cargo, with small parcels, FCL’s and Project.
